One of the big highlights of the season is on the schedule this weekend on the 10 – 11 January 2026. The cup semi finals of the Lalux ladies Cup and the Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg. All games will be played at the Coque in Kirchberg.
The cup weekend started with the cup FLBB finals by circle K on Friday evening. The event was a big success with 1400 spectators visiting throughout the 2 games.
The women of Racing Luxembourg were able to beat Black Star Mersch 53:50 after double overtime!
The final in the men’s category was thrilling as well. In the end, Arantia won 61:57 against Contern.
On Saturday and Sunday, the semi finals of the Lalux Ladies Cup and Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg are on the schedule –> Cup semi finals on Saturday and Sunday

Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg:
20:00 Amicale Steinsel – Etzella Ettelbruck 81:89
On Saturday evening, the first game of the Lalux Ladies Cup and the Loterie Nationale Coupe de Luxembourg semi finals were played at the Coque in Kirchberg.
T71 Dudelange is the first finalist in the women’s category. The from the South was able to beat Amicale Steinsel 84:57 behind a balanced team effort. Lauren Van Kleunen led the team with 20 points.
The score was tied after 5 minutes, but from that point on, Dudelange built a lead and never looked back to win the game clearly.

Also on Saturday evening, the men’s team of Etzella Ettelbruck won a hard fought game against Amicale to advance to the final. In an intense game with mutliple lead changes, Etzella Ettelbruck had the better finish to win the game 89:81. Adrian Delph led Etzella with 26 points while Philippe Gutenkauf added 23 points.

In total, 1700 supporters visited both games, thank you to everybody who visited this great event at the Coque in Kirchberg. On Sunday, the second game of both cups will be played. SAVE THE DATE for the cup final on February 7th.

On Sunday, the second semi finals in the Lalux Ladies Cup and Loterie National Coupe de Luxembourgb were played at the Coque in Kirchberg. In total, 2000 visitors were at the Coque in Kirchberg for both games to create a great atmosphere.
Sparta Bertrange is the second finalist in the women’s Lalux Ladies cup competition. The team of coach Mike Feyder was able to win a thrilling game 75:70 against Basket Esch. Adryana Quezada made her debut as a priofessional player for Sparta while Jordan King led the team with 26 points.

In the second men’s semi final, Arantia Larochette won a thriller 79:78 over Sparta Bertrange. At the break, Sparta had a 49:35 lead sparked by Jarvis Williams and Max Logelin. However, Arantia stormed back and Michael Anhtony Carter made the decisive shot a few seconds before the end of the game (video)
