🏃♂️ The Program & Race Formats
The cross biathlon combines trail running (cross-country) with laser/optical rifle shooting (no dangerous ammunition, completely safe for all participants). The event offers two main distances open to participants of all ages:
1. The 6 KM Race
- Start Time: 10:00 AM
- Format: Typically structured around loops interspersed with shooting stages. Missed targets usually result in short penalty loops, staying true to traditional biathlon rules.
- Target Audience: Open to all ages, ideal for casual runners, beginners, and junior participants looking to experience the discipline.
2. The 10 KM Race
- Start Time: Rolling or staggered start following the initial waves.
- Format: A more demanding multi-loop course with multiple shooting sessions (prone and standing positions depending on the age/category regulations).
- Target Audience: Geared toward seasoned runners and biathlon enthusiasts looking for a endurance and concentration challenge.
📝 Important Registration Info
- Pre-registration: Registration must be completed online ahead of time via registration platforms like Ultratiming or Le Dossard.
- On-Site Registration: No registrations are accepted on-site on the day of the race.
- Equipment: The organization provides the specialized biathlon rifles at the shooting range, so participants only need to bring standard running gear.
