Team History
- 2025–2026: Minimax Cycling Team (Continental)
- 2024: Vermarc Cycling Team (Junior)
- 2023: Cyclingteam Belco / Van Eyck (Junior)
Nothum is often noted for her consistency in stage races and her ability to perform under pressure in championship formats, marking her as one of Luxembourg’s most promising female riders to watch in the coming seasons.
The 2026 edition of De Brabantse Pijl – La Flèche Brabançonne WE (1.Pro) took place on April 17, 2026, covering a 125.7 km route from Lennik to Overijse.
The race concluded with a breakthrough victory for young French star Célia Géry, who secured her first professional win after a perfectly timed uphill sprint.
2026 Podium Results
| Rank | Rider | Team | Time / Gap |
| 1st | Célia Géry (FRA) | FDJ United – SUEZ | 3h 14′ 42″ |
| 2nd | Mischa Bredewold (NED) | Team SD Worx – Protime | s.t. |
| 3rd | Silvia Persico (ITA) | UAE Team ADQ | s.t. |
Race Highlights
- The Winning Move: The race was characterized by a relentless series of climbs. A late breakaway featuring Anna van der Breggen and Loes Adegeest looked promising but was ultimately neutralized with just 1 km to go.
- The Sprint: In the final uphill drag in Overijse, Géry launched an explosive long-range sprint. While Bredewold and Persico attempted to close the gap in the final meters, Géry held her speed to take the win.

Gwen Nothum, racing for the Minimax Cycling Team, did not finish (DNF) the 2026 edition of De Brabantse Pijl.
While she was on the start list for the race, she was among several riders who were caught out by the aggressive pace and numerous climbs in the latter half of the 125.7 km route.
De Brabantse Pijl – La Flèche Brabançonne Femme has evolved into a vital “bridge” in the women’s spring calendar, transitioning riders from the cobbled classics of Flanders to the steep, punchy climbs of the Ardennes.
While the men’s race dates back to 1961, the women’s edition is a much younger fixture that has rapidly gained prestige.
Origins and Evolution
- Pajot Hills Classic (2016–2017): The race began in 2016 under this name, with Marianne Vos claiming the inaugural victory. It was initially held in the Pajottenland region with a finish in Gooik.
- Brabantse Pijl Dames (2018–2021): In 2018, the race was rebranded to align with the men’s event, though it maintained its 1.1 classification and continued to finish in Gooik.
- UCI ProSeries Upgrade (2022–Present): The race reached its current 1.Pro status in 2022. This coincided with a significant route change: the finish moved to Overijse, adopting the same iconic “S-Bocht” finish line as the men’s race.
Course Identity
The race is famous for its “repeated damage” format. Rather than one long, decisive mountain, it features a series of short, brutal climbs (many cobbled) that wear down the peloton. Key features include:
- Moskesstraat: A steep, cobbled climb (max 18%) that often acts as the launchpad for the winning move.
- S-Bocht Overijse: The winding final climb that leads directly to the finish line, rewarding riders with an explosive uphill sprint.
Past Winners
The honor roll includes many of the greatest names in the sport. Notably, Elisa Longo Borghini is the only rider to have won the race twice (as of early 2026).
| Year | Winner | Team |
| 2025 | Elisa Longo Borghini (ITA) | UAE Team ADQ |
| 2024 | Elisa Longo Borghini (ITA) | Lidl–Trek |
| 2023 | Silvia Persico (ITA) | UAE Team ADQ |
| 2022 | Demi Vollering (NED) | Team SD Worx |
| 2021 | Ruth Winder (USA) | Trek–Segafredo |
| 2020 | Grace Brown (AUS) | Mitchelton–Scott |
| 2019 | Sofie De Vuyst (BEL) | Parkhotel Valkenburg |
| 2018 | Marta Bastianelli (ITA) | Alé–Cipollini |
| 2017 | Annette Edmondson (AUS) | Wiggle High5 |
| 2016 | Marianne Vos (NED) | Rabo–Liv |
Historical Significance
The race is organized by Flanders Classics and serves as the final event of the “Flemish Spring.” Because it features a mix of cobbles and climbing, it is the ultimate test for “all-rounders.” A strong performance here is historically one of the most accurate predictors for success in the upcoming Amstel Gold Race and La Flèche Wallonne.
