The Kichechef Trophy (organized in collaboration with the FSCL – Fédération du Sport Cycliste Luxembourgeois) is a major youth cycling series in Luxembourg.
Unlike the “Santa Run” mentioned earlier, this is a competitive sports series specifically designed for young cyclists across different categories (such as Minimes, Cadets, and Débutants).
Key Features of the Trophy
- Youth Focus: It serves as a developmental league for the next generation of Luxembourgish cyclists. It is essentially a “challenge” or points-based trophy where riders accumulate points over several races throughout the season.
- Multiple Disciplines: While primarily associated with Road Cycling, there are also components or specific events under the Kichechef banner for Mountain Biking (MTB) and Cyclo-cross, depending on the season.
- Club Involvement: Various local clubs, such as Cycling Team Atertdaul or CCI Differdange, host individual stages of the trophy.
- Ranking: The FSCL maintains a general classification (Generalklassement) for the Kichechef Trophy, which tracks the top-performing young riders across the country.
Typical Event Format
- Venues: Races are held across various towns in Luxembourg (e.g., Mersch, Cessange, or Differdange).
- Prizes: Winners of the overall trophy are often honored at the end of the season by the FSCL, with Kichechef (the furniture retailer) serving as the main title sponsor.

Why Kichechef?
Kichechef is one of the most prominent sponsors of youth sports in Luxembourg. By branding these FSCL races as the “Kichechef Trophy,” the company provides the financial backing necessary to organize safe, professional-level races for children and teenagers.
Note: If you are a rider or a parent looking for the 2026 calendar, you should check the official FSCL.lu website under the “Inscriptions” or “Youth Cup” sections, as the race dates are updated annually.
