Founded on December 10, 1933, by Aloyse Hentgen, the Luxembourg Basketball Federation (F.L.B.B.) is responsible for managing and organizing basketball at all levels in Luxembourg. With more than 6,176 licensed players as of January 1, 2020, the FLBB is the second largest federation in Luxembourg. Since 1937, it has been affiliated with the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), the global governing body for basketball.

The FLBB’s headquarters are located at the Maison des Sports Josy Barthel alongside the Luxembourg Olympic and Sports Committee (COSL) and almost all of the other sports federations, which are all housed under one roof.

Since its creation in 1933, the FLBB has contributed to the development of basketball in Luxembourg and manages its national teams. It has identified the fundamental values of basketball as a team sport and follows a clear vision to achieve the objectives of this sport, pursuing a continuous and consistent strategy in the execution of all its activities.
