Following the draw for the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League, the Luxembourg national team now knows its potential opponents for the next campaign, subject to the result of the play-offs against Malta in March.
If the Rout LΓ©iwen secure their place in League C during the play-offs in March, Luxembourg will play in Group C4, which consists of the following teams:

The draw for the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League group stage has determined that Portugal, the defending champions, will face Denmark, Norway and Wales, while the Spain-England and France-Italy matches also promise excitement.
The draw for the league phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League β the fifth edition of the competition β took place in Brussels on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
League A

How does the 2026/27 Nations League work?
Each team plays home and away against the other teams in its group during the league phase.
The knockout phase will be played in March 2027. The winners and runners-up of the League A groups will participate in the quarter-finals, with home and away matches, with the winners of these matches qualifying for the final phase of the tournament in June 2027.
The teams that finish in fourth place in Leagues A and B will be automatically relegated to Leagues B and C, respectively. Conversely, the two lowest-ranked teams among the top four in League C will be relegated to League D.
The four group winners from Leagues B and C, as well as the two group winners from League D, are automatically promoted to Leagues A, B, and C, respectively.
The teams that finish third in League A and the second-placed teams in League B, as well as the teams that finish third in League B and the second-placed teams in League C, will compete in a promotion/relegation play-off, with home and away matches.
There will also be a play-off between the two highest-ranked teams among those that finish fourth in League C and the two teams that finish second in League D.

Under new head coach Jeff Strasser, the Luxembourg squad for the upcoming Nations League play-outs against Malta (March 26 and 31, 2026) reflects a significant shift toward discipline and a post-Gerson Rodrigues era.
