The Luxembourg Outdoor Athletics Championships (Championnats Nationaux Outdoor) took place at the Institut National des Sports (INS) in Luxembourg-Ville, organized by CAEG.
Major Highlights & Records
- National Relay Record: The men’s 4 x 100m relay team – Alan Jéhanno, David Wallig, Jim Kaell, and Luc Dostert – capped off the weekend by setting a new national record of 40.76 seconds, qualifying for the 2027 Games of the Small States of Europe and the Francophonie Games.
- Sprint Doubles: * David Wallig won both the men’s 100m 10.67s and 200m 21.62s.
- Patrizia van der Weken retained her women’s 100m title in 11.22s (after running 11.19s in the heats). Uyana Granger took the women’s 200m 24.79s.
Distance & Middle-Distance Doubles
- Vera Bertemes-Hoffmann claimed victories in both the women’s 1,500m (4:12.04) and 5,000m (15:57.54).
- Jory Teixeira secured a men’s double, winning the 1,500m (3:50.03) and 800m (1:51.49).
Key Field Event Results
- Triple Jump: Louis Muller set a PB of 15.30m to win the men’s event. Anna Lensment won the women’s event with a PB of 12.43m, and also took the women’s long jump (5.60m).
- Long Jump: Luca Tasch took the national title (6.78m), while guest athlete Matteo Bruognolo recorded the overall longest jump (7.10m).
- High Jump: Titles went to Julie Craenen (1.74m) and Quentin Bebon (1.86m, in his career finale).
- Throws: Noémie Pleimling won the women’s javelin (51.10m), Steve Weiwert won the men’s hammer throw (59.30m), and Sofia Snäll won the women’s hammer throw (51.10m).
