The program and timeline for the 2026 Men’s edition are detailed below.
📅 Tournament Timeline
The competition spans from early June to mid-July 2026, structured into three consecutive weeks of league play and a concluding tournament for the top teams.
| Round | Dates |
| League Round: Week 1 | 5 – 7 June 2026 |
| League Round: Week 2 | 12 – 14 June 2026 |
| League Round: Week 3 | 19 – 21 June 2026 |
| Final Round | 27/28 June – 11/12 July 2026 |
📊 Competition Format & Structure
The tournament features 27 national teams competing across Europe.
1. League Round (The “Tournament” System)
Instead of a standard home-and-away format, the league phase is organized into mini-tournaments held concurrently across different host cities each weekend.
- Every national team plays a designated number of fixtures over the three-week period.
- All results are pooled into a single, massive league table ranking teams from 1 to 27 based on match points, wins, and set ratios.
2. Final Round
- The top 4 teams from the overall League Round standings advance to the Final Round.
- The Final Round features a knockout structure consisting of the Semifinals and the Final to crown the 2026 European League champion.
