CEV European League Women Preliminary Round
The 2026 CEV Women’s European Volleyball League has undergone a major format revamp. To act as a direct qualification pathway for the 2028 European Championship, the former Golden and Silver leagues have been merged into one comprehensive tournament.
Because 26 teams are participating in total, a Preliminary Round is required for the lowest-ranked teams to trim the field down to 24 before the main League Round kicks off.

- The Mission: 4 teams face off in a single round-robin group. The Top 2 teams advance directly into the main 24-team League Round, while the bottom two are eliminated.

In the Preliminary Round of the 2026 CEV Volleyball European League (Women), played in Odense, Denmark from May 29 to May 31, 2026, the Luxembourg Women’s National Team fought hard but was eliminated, finishing 4th in the group.
Only the top two teams from this preliminary group (Lithuania and Albania) advanced to the main League Round.

⏩ Where Do the Qualifiers Go next?
Once the Preliminary Round concludes on 31 May, the top two teams will immediately pack their bags for the main League Round (Week 1 starts on 5 June 2026). They have already been assigned to their Week 1 destinations:
- PR Winners (1st Place): Advance to Tournament 7 in Osijek, Croatia to play against Croatia and Greece.
- PR Runners-up (2nd Place): Advance to Tournament 8 in Nokia, Finland to play against Finland and Switzerland.
